Why this recipe works

These eggnog floats are creamy, delicious, and slightly unexpected. The fizziness from the club soda helps make that delicious ice cream foam we have all come to expect on the top of a soda float, while not significantly altering that perfect texture and taste of the eggnog. The ice cream ties these floats together for a classic experience and even more creaminess.

Ingredient Info and Substitution Suggestions

EGGNOG – The star of the show! Use your favorite brand. You can even make your own homemade eggnog for these floats. Feel free to substitute with flavored eggnog such as pumpkin spice, peppermint mocha, cinnamon, the list goes on and on.

CLUB SODA – What’s a float without a touch of bubbly fizz? Club soda works well because the flavor isn’t overpowering and still lets the eggnog flavor shine. It also helps create the top foamy layer a typical float always has. You can substitute with ginger ale if preferred.

ICE CREAM – Regular vanilla ice cream is perfect, again, use your favorite brand.
