BERRIES – If you’re seeing this post while it’s strawberry season, now is the perfect excuse to go strawberry picking or to grab some local fresh strawberries from the farmer’s market. Luckily even if it isn’t strawberry season, these berries are available year-round in grocery stores. Look for bright red strawberries that have a slight sheen to them with a healthy green cap in stores. The blueberries are an optional garnish that can be omitted if preferred.

  1. Slice off the stems of the strawberries so that they are able to sit flat with the “stem” side facing down.slicing the top off of strawberries
  2. On the opposite end of the strawberry, cut an X from the tip through part of the base, but do not slice all the way through or your strawberries will fall apart. Repeat with the remaining strawberries and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth.cream cheese beaten in a bowl
